Drawing

I draw everyday, in sketchbooks, on paper, old book pages and vintage maps. My drawings are sometimes a scribble, a quick thought on paper and sometimes a drawing is more considered and will take a day or a week to resolve. I draw with pencil, different charcoals, inks and watercolours.

‘I am influenced by my immediate surroundings, there is so much to explore in ordinary, often overlooked moments of everyday life. My daily drawing and painting practice explores domestic life, animals, everyday things, family, the light, the colours of the morning, the light through the trees, the noise, the silence, colour, objects and other tiny fleeting moments of joy.’
